As you may well have been able to work out just from the name of this application, LANster is a small freeware program designed for working on local area networks (LAN). If you have a small network of computers or work in a company with several connected on the same network, you can use LANster to search for and share all kinds of files.

With this LANster tool you can find MP3 music files, patches for games, pictures, videos and other files to share with your peers. LANster can open and browse any folder, shows the files remotely, and allows you to view information about them, as would the "Search" tool in Windows, but with the difference that it does so with several computers.

To suit your taste, LANster includes several skins to change its appearance, plus a small editor with which you can create your own skins, perhaps with your company's logo or slogan on it.
